Amazing England I

Last year in October, I visited UK. It was my second visit to the English land and again this time too I could not visit Scotland and Welsh country. As it was autumn in the UK, I found colorful trees everywhere. The weather was as unpredictable as stock exchange, giving warm as well as cooling effects periodically and sometimes raining for the whole day. I visited Leamington Spa town (where I was staying), Warwick castle, Stratford upon Avon(William Shakespeare's birth place) and City of Coventry.

I am sharing few snaps of my visit, in three parts.

Royal Leamington Spa:- Situated in Warwick shire, famous for its mineral spa was once used to called as
Leamington Priors.  Here are few snaps of the city.

The colorful trees all around the streets of Leamington city. It feels like various paint brushes are trying to color the canvass of the sky.

River Leam flowing through the town, you can see greenery around the river.

All Saint's church , a parish church for Leamington Spa.

Beautiful Gurudwara in the town.

The apartment in the town where I stayed.

  4. Hey Aniruddha!!
thanks for your feedback. You are right, this time less description, because there are lots of photographs, and if I am not much mistaken, the photographs are itself describing something!!! :), don't you think? Anyway I will add much more description from now onwards.

Visiting the eastern frontiers III

Gangtok :- Capital of Indian state of Sikkim, located among the long ranges of Himalayas and on the eastern edge of the country. When we were entering into Sikkim, a routine check was performed and we were allowed the entry into the state. Our taxi was changed, we were given local taxi and a local driver according to a law of state transport authority. Due to clean roads, disciplined traffic and cool weather, Gangtok looked like an European city in appearance. Our stay was for three days, after taking enough rest, next day we started for 'Tsangpo Lake' very early in the morning. The narrow road goes through the high mountain ranges, we were not aware how far and high we were going. Suddenly when I looked out of our car, I saw the roads were covered with the snow and we were now among those high snowy mountains. There was a considerable traffic of vehicles of Indian Army, off course Indo-China  border was close. In few minutes we reached near the lake. It was awesome view, every...

Amazing England III

Stratford upon Avon :- Lies on the river Avon, in Warwick shire, mainly known as the birth town of great English play writer and poet "William Shakespeare". Many of my friends and colleagues recommended me to visit this place. There is one more Stratford, just Stratford, in London, so in order to avoid the confusion, Shakespeare's Stratford is called as "Stratford upon Avon". The journey takes hardly 15 minutes by train from Leamington Spa.     I got down on the small station of  the town and started walking towards the tourist center to collect town map. Out of the five houses of Shakespeare, I decided to visit three of them, the birthplace, Nash's house (also the site of the new place) and Hall's croft. I had only four hours to visit these places. I started with the birth place i.e. the house in which this great play writer was born.   Birth place of William Shakespeare.    Nash's house and the site of new place. Hall's ...

My days in Japan : II

On our journey to Mumbai international airport we found out that my and one of my colleague who initially missed our van had a ticket of same airline but the guy who boarded the van at the end was having a ticket of different airline. He became nervous as he was going to travel entire journey from Mumbai to Tokyo all alone and for the first time.     We reached Mumbai international airport six in the evening. After getting inside we immediately checked in our luggage to avoid extra burden. I sat on a bench, thinking of how to spend time. I wondered, for a last whole week, I was in need of some spare time for relaxation and I could not afford it but now I was having a plenty of time to spend and I was getting bored I was not feeling like to take a rest.    Three of us were wearing suit, neck tie, in a perfect formal attire, I was feeling like we are part of some high profile delegation and are visiting Japan to attend some important co...
